Ocean State Libraries E-Zone

Today I was browsing the Ocean State Libraries (Rhode Island’s public library) online card catalog and came across the “E-Zone” … apparently there is a pretty nice selection of audio and e-books you can download online just by using your RI library card number. You can connect to the E-Zone through the Ocean State Libraries online catalog, or just clicking here

The e-books are “compatible with PC or Mac”. (Certain books are available in PDF, Adobe EPUB, and Mobipocket formats)

The audiobooks are “Overdrive” WMA or MP3, which requires the Overdrive software, but it looks like most of them can be burned to CD or uploaded to an iPod. It also looks like they have a small selection of music (mostly classical) and some videos that can also be accessed from their site using the Overdrive software.

This is a pretty cool resource for Rhode Islanders, I hope they continue to expand on this offering!
